Rallies Planned For Anniversary Of Kidnapping


        As in past years, demonstrations in support of Mordechai Vanunu are planned for Washington, London, and other world capitals for next September 30, anniversary of the 1986 kidnapping of the imprisoned anti-nuclear whistle blower.
        It was on that date 13 years ago that Vanunu was lured from Britain and abducted from Rome by Israeli agents while revealing to the London Sunday Times the details of Israel's clandestine nuclear weapons program, where he once worked.
        In the United States, demonstrations are planned not only at the Israeli embassy in Washington but also at consulates in Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Houston, Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
