You are invited to participate in demonstrations
to free Mordechai Vanunu and for a nuclear-free world in Washington, DC,
on Friday, August 4, as part of the Fellowship of Reconciliation's summer
People's Campaign for Nonviolence.
The day's events are sponsored by the Catholic
Worker and the U.S. Campaign to Free Mordechai Vanunu.
Rallies will be held at the Pentagon south entrance
from 7 to 8 a.m. and at the Israeli Embassy from noon to 1 p.m., starting
at 11:45 a.m. with a gathering at the nearby corner of Connecticut and
Van Ness Aves. NW, adjacent to the Van Ness-UDC Metro entrance.
Supper will be served at 5 p.m., followed by a
program from 7 to 9 p.m. at St. Aloysius Church (North Capitol Ave. between
H and K Sts.).
Program speakers will be the coordinator of the
U.S. Campaign to Free Mordechai Vanunu, Sam Day, and Walter Wink, author
and theologian.
Free sleeping space will be available Thursday
and Friday nights at the Hyattsville Mennonite Church, 4217 East-West Highway,
