Three Days of Support For Israel's Nuclear Whistleblower

vigiling, and action for the release of Mordechai Vanunu, the anti-nuclear
prisoner of conscience now in his 14th year behind bars for blowing the
whistle on Israel's clandestine nuclear weapons arsenal.

THE CONFERENCE
Tuesday, September 26
9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the main conference room of the Methodist Building,
110 Maryland Ave., NE (across the street from the U.S. Supreme Court).
6:30 p.m. Dinner, 7:30 p.m. Program: music and song, award ceremony, and
address by Daniel Ellsberg, at Church of the Brethren, 4th St. and North
Carolina Ave. SE.
THE VIGIL
Wednesday, September 27
Dawn to dusk vigil for Vanunu's freedom at the Israeli Embassy, 3514 International
Drive, NW. Come for all or part. While not at the vigil, activists can
call on their Senators and Congressional Representatives on Capitol Hill.
THE ACTION
Thursday, September 28
Noon-hour mass rally in front of the Israeli Embassy to mark the 14th anniversary
of Vanunu's kidnapping by Israeli agents in Rome after telling his story
to a British newspaper. Speeches, songs, prayers and action demanding the
prisoner's immediate and unconditional release and a nuclear-free world.
FOOD
Light lunch and refreshments will be available
at the conference on Tuesday for a small fee. Tuesday dinner is $5; vegetarian
option available. Other meals not provided, but a list of nearby inexpensive
restaurants will be available.
HOUSING
For those who need it, we have reserved
the William Penn House on Capitol Hill, with shared space for 30 for the
evenings of Sept. 25, 26, & 27, for $30 per person per night, including
