A Message from London
Every Saturday afternoon, rain or shine, the British
Campaign to Free Mordechai Vanunu holds a vigil near the Israeli embassy
in London. Last March 11 the regulars were joined by two Americans in town
for a meeting of the British, Israeli, and American campaigns. Pictured
here, from left to right, are a vigiler identified only as Lago, a second
unidentified person, Emelia Kuppersmitt, Kevin Stewart, Hope Liebersohn,
Sam Day (U.S.), Helen Jones, a woman idenfified only as Hana, Felice Cohen-Joppa
(U.S.), Helen Meyer, Laura Fensterheim, Heinz Grunewald, and Renata Prince.
Kneeling in front is Ernest Rodker, coordinator of the British campaign.
The weekly vigils were inaugurated more than a decade ago by Rami Heilbronn,
a Vanunu activist.
