Supporters Active on West Coast

The Bay Area Campaign to Free Mordechai Vanunu is up and running with a board of directors, a treasury, a mailing list, and plans for a major demonstrtion next fall.

A fund-raising kick-off meeting at the Berkeley Unitarian-Universalist Fellowship on March 18 featured Jackie Cabasso, director of the Western States Legal Foundation; Sam Day, coordinator of the U.S. Campaign to Free Mordechai Vanunu, and Andreas Toupadakis, a physicist who resigned from the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory last winter because of its mixing of environmental research with nuclear weapons development.

Jeanie Shaterian coordinates the Bay Area campaign. Other directors are Cynthia Johnson, Hal Carlstad, David Makofsky, and Bill Rushton.
