Worldwide Vigils for Vanunu - Australia

I am really glad to report that we in Australia did participate in the world wide vigils ....At St John's Church in Sydney a prayer vigil was held from 12 - 2.00pm attended by parishioners and even the Deputy Mayor of South Sydney!; while at the same time several members of the Australian Campaign to Free Vanunu, including the Rev David Smith and Sandy Gray, who were close friends of Mordechai's during his time in Sydney, held a vigil outside the Israeli Embassy in the business district of Sydney, where we attracted a lot of interest and managed to distribute over 200 leaflets in the space of an hour.

Also this coming Sunday at St John's Darlinghurst, which is the church where Mordechai became a Christian such a long time ago, again like last year, both the Morning Service and Community Church in the evening will be dedicated to Mordechai - with the Rev. David Smith speaking in the morning and the previous convener of the Australian Campaign, the Rev. Tom Henderson-Brooks giving the address in the evening with me leading the evening service and prayers.

We may be small out here, but we're hanging in there and we're not giving up!!
