Worldwide Vigils for Vanunu - Chennai

On September 25th, the Movement Against Nuclear Weapons (MANW) in Chennai did the following two things:

1. Telegrams were sent to the Israel Embassy in Delhi by about 10 of the constituent organizations of MANW. The message was, FREE MORDECHAI VANANU IMMEDIATELY. HE ONLY SPOKE THE TRUTH.

2. About 10 of us distributed pamphlets and displayed posters at a crowded bus stand in the center of Chennai in the evening rush hour. The placards demanded freedom to Vanunu, abolition of nuclear weapons and for no war against Afghan civilians. 800 pamphlets were distributed.
