Worldwide Vigils for Vanunu - Washington DC
In Washington,
D.C., about 20 vigilers walked with signs and banners to the Israeli
embassy from a nearby busy streetcorner.
There was heavy security, so they
couldn't stand in the same place where they hold their monthly vigils, but
were able to stand along another side of the embassy to hold signs, share
reflections, read Mordechai's poetry, and remember victims of violence and
also the life of long-time U.S. campaign coordinator Sam Day, who died this
past January.
