Vanunu's Fight for Peace Recognized

Recently, in addition to the Nuclear Free Future 2002 Award, Mordechai Vanunu received the annual prize of the Francisca Mateos Foundation of Spain. The prize recognizes his contribution to the struggle for world peace by revealing the existence of Israel's nuclear arsenal. In past years, the Francisca Mateos, Fight for Peace Award has gone to Aung San Suu Kyi and the Dalai Lama. The late Francisca Mateos spent her life working to fight social inequality, and the foundation is dedicated to promoting social justice and peace.
