Dear all,
The Lisbon vigil on September 30th was very simple and it would have gone
very smoothly if it hadn't been for the terrible shower that hit Lisbon in
the afternoon.
Despite that, Portugal Local Group 19 of Amnesty International members
managed to distribute circa 200 leaflets at lunch time (between 13 and
14:30), in front of the Embassy, and later on, between 18 and 19:30, other
250 leaflets were distributed both in front of the Embassy and mostly at the
entrance to one of the most important underground stations (where we could
protect ourselves from the rain...).
Although not all together at the same time, the vigil involved 11 people
and, as usual, a similar number of policemen). Due to the rain, we end up
not taking any photographs this time.
Our initiative was publicised in our Blog and in our Vanunu webpage.
Best regards and peace to all. Let us all believe Vanunu is "only" 198 days
away from being released!
