About 40 people came last night to the alternative bookstore
Salon Mazal in Tel-Aviv, to express solidarity with Mordechai. We heard an
inspiring lecture by Aki Orr about the history of the atom bomb, which was
informative and thought-provoking, even for us veterans. I'm sure that Mordechai
would have approved, since he has always insisted that working for the abolition
of weapons of mass destruction was as important to him as working for his
release. There were lots of discussions taking place among the audience during
the break.
Afterwards, we saw the Israeli documentary film The Bomb in the Basement.
A lot of participants signed a birthday card for Mordechai that we will send
immediately in the hope that he gets it sometime close to his birthday.
Let's hope that this really is the last time that we mark Mordechai's imprisonment!
